Emergency Department

There were about 20 sleepy people including my family, who sat quietly waiting for the nurse's call. An old (about 70 years old) gentleman was groaning with pain in his wheelchair. I approached him and asked for permission to pray for his pain. I prayed for 1 minute, then nurse came, gave him medicine and sent him into the ward. Before he left, he nearly stopped groaning. This is my very first healing prayer in hospital.

Mental Health Ward

My son was a patient there. I bought snacks with "Jesus watches over you "stickers on to give other patients every time I visited my son. Of course, I needed to get permission from the nurse first before I could do that. Some days the nurse said no, other days nurse would said yes. One day, I was so "lucky" the nurse even asked me for a gospel tract. Within one week, the whole ward heard the name of Jesus. There were 14 patients in the youth mental health ward at that moment, 4 patients (including my son) got discharged on the same day 15/06/2023).

Mental Health Ward

Personally I am scared of those who are suffering from severe mental problems. Their eyes have no spirit and their empty eye contact drags me into fear, despair and darkness.

God taught me a lesson here. In the ward, my son made friends with a boy who was a person like that. When he saw my family, he wanted us to shake hands with him. My son did, so did my husband. Then it was my turn. The moment I touched his hand, I felt such a strong love from God flowing into my heart for him. I grabbed his hand and told him "you cry to Jesus when you need help".

On my way home, I cried and cried. Holy Spirit softened my heart and made me feel safe to show empathy to those who I do not understand their pains and sufferings.
